IACI’s Ask.com To Buy Lexico, Parent of Dictionary.com

IAC/Interactive’s (IACI) Ask.com unit has agreed to acquire Lexico, which operates Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com and Reference.com. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, although the company did say it was an all cash transaction. Answers.com (ANSW) had previously agreed to acquire Lexico for $100 million in cash, but dropped the deal after it couldn’t raise the required financing.
