Cisco Systems (CSCO) yesterday said that sales of its high-end CRS-1 router has accelerated in the past several months, according to a Reuters story yesterday. The piece says that Cisco has sold 900 CRS-1 routers in the nine months through March, the same number sold from the product’s launch in May 2004 through last June. Pricing on the CRS-1 ranges from $500,000 to over $1 million; customers are mostly carriers. The story notes that Juniper (JNPR) sells a rival product called the T1600.

The Street seems to have decided that, while this is good news for Cisco, it may not be so good for Juniper. Cisco today is up 45 cents, or 1.8%, to $25.43; Juniper is down 66 cents, or 2.6%, to $25.12.
